BMW USA factory warranty is 4 years or 50,000 of full coverage repairs on breakdowns caused by flaws in design or engineering during assembly.
BMW will pay the cost of parts and labor to fix or replace all defective mechanisms for the first 4 years.
However, BMW factory warranty does not include damage from improper usage, paint chips, modified parts, or normal wear to upholstery and trim.
BMW USA offers three options for owners who want to buy extended coverage: Platinum, Gold, and Powertrain.
What does the BMW extended warranty cover?
Platinum
The BMW Platinum extended warranty is the highest level of breakdown protection offered by BMW. Coverage includes the engine, drive assembly, transfer case, transmission, radiator, fuel pump, water pump, radio, electrical, air conditioning, heat, and steering.
Where can I buy the BMW Platinum repair coverage?
Current owners may purchase the Platinum Plan in the Finance Department at any BMW dealership in the USA.
