What is the factory warranty on a new Cadillac?

4 Years or 50,000 Miles of bumper-to-bumper repairs and 6 Years or 70,000 Miles of powertrain repairs are covered by the standard Cadillac factory warranty.

The bumper-to-bumper warranty covers the cost of parts and labor to repair all defects caused by flaws in design or engineering during assembly at the manufacturing plant.

The powertrain warranty only covers the internal mechanisms within the engine, transmission, and drive axle.

What does Cadillac Extended Warranty cover?

The Cadillac Platinum Warranty covers the engine, transmission, drive axle, ride control, blind spot sensors, reverse warning systems, air conditioning, heating, electrical, audio, video, and all other components except items specifically listed as exclusions at the bottom of page 4 in the Sample Terms below.

The Cadillac Platinum Warranty does not have a copay.

The cost of parts and labor to fix your ride is paid in full by Cadillac during covered breakdowns.

A rental car is also included free-of-charge so you can still have wheels while your car is in the shop.

When does it begin and end?

The Platinum Extended Warranty begins when the bumper-to-bumper factory warranty expires, and ends when the extended term or additional mileage is reached, whichever occurs first.

For example, if you buy a 2 year 24,000 mile extended warranty when your car has zero miles, then you will have 6 years or 74,000 miles of full coverage.

Transfer the plan by mailing a copy of your registration sheet (page 1 in Sample Terms), a transfer request, and a check payable to the Administrator for $75 ($40 in Florida).
