DETAILS & EXCLUSIONS

Fuel delivery

Emergency fuel is available twice per year if you run out of gas or diesel.

A Ford professional will bring you enough to drive to the next fuel station. The amount is limited to 2 gallons of gasoline, or 5 gallons of diesel per occurrence.

Emergency EV Charge

If your Electric Vehicle runs low and you become stranded, Ford will tow you to the nearest charging station.

Lock-out reentry

If you are locked out of your vehicle, a locksmith will gain entry after verifying your identity and ownership.

Recovering lost keys is not included. Locksmiths will provide entry only. Reprogramming and replacement keys are the owner’s responsibility.

Battery jump

The provider will offer jumper cables and assist with a jump-start to get you back on the road.

If your battery cannot be jump-started, the provider will offer towing instead.

Flat tire change

A usable spare tire is required. Replacement tires are not included.

If you do not have a usable spare, the Ford professional will offer towing instead.

Towing to the dealership

For mechanical breakdowns and other situations where roadside help is not possible, Ford will tow your vehicle to a dealer of your choice within 35 miles of the disablement.

Towing beyond 35 miles is at the owner’s expense. Towing is covered for both warranty, and non-warranty related breakdowns, including collisions.

If the dealership is closed, and does not have an after-hours drop off, then the vehicle may be towed to the customer’s house or the tow yard until the following day, when a second towing service can be claimed.

Trailer towing

If you’re pulling a trailer during your roadside request, Ford will help get your trailer to a secure location.

Trailer towing is limited to $200 per event.

Trailer towing is not covered unless the towing vehicle has a covered roadside assistance concern.

Winch out

If you’re stranded or stuck in the mud within 100 feet of a public roadway, then a Ford professional can winch you out, and pull your vehicle back on the road.

Any paved street or county-maintained roadway qualifies as a public road.

Free Ford Roadside Assistance is offered to get you and your vehicle to safety, and should not be utilized for any other purpose.
