Lincoln Warranty Options

Cost & Coverage Review

How long is it?

Lincoln Factory Warranty is 4 years or 50,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper repairs on breakdowns caused by manufacturer defects.
After the bumper-to-bumper warranty expires, the powertrain warranty continues for another 2 years or 20,000 miles - totaling 6 years or 70,000 miles of repairs on the engine, transmission and drive axle.

Lincoln offers four extended warranty options for consumers who want to buy longer protection.

What do Lincoln Extended Warranty Options cover?

Option 1

Premium Care covers the cost to repair over 1,000 items including the engine, transmission, drive axle, reverse camera, high tech, GPS, water pump, fuel gauges, alternator, heating, cooling, electrical, computers, audio, entertainment systems, control module, and sensors.

Every part of the vehicle is included except items listed under WHAT IS NOT COVERED on the contract.

See the bottom of the brochure in the PDF section below.

Option 2

Extra Care covers 113 components including the engine, transmission, steering, and air conditioning.

It may sound like key components are covered in full, however Extra Care covers less items with each category. Some things are not covered at all: like audio, entertainment, rear suspension, and more.

Usually we recommend this level on base model vehicles, but all Lincolns are well equipped in 2021.

Therefore, we recommend spending the extra money to get Option 1 because it will perform as expected during breakdowns.

Option 3

The Base Plan covers 84 essential components but is not recommended for the same reasons we do not recommend the second option.

Option 4

The Powertrain Plan covers 29 engine and transmission components.

How much is the repair copay?

Lincoln offers four options of deductible copay: $0, $50, $100, and $250.

The $0 deductible stands out as the one we want, but the best price point lands on the $100 deductible plan, which costs $700 less to purchase.

Therefore, the F&I Tools Review finds the Lincoln Premium Care Extended Warranty with $100 deductible to be the best bang for the buck!

Where can I buy the Lincoln Extended Warranty?

Insider tip:
