How to Calculate Market Value
The state of Alabama calculates market values every October for registration purposes, and provides these values to vehicle owners on their registration cards.

First-time registrations are prorated. Renewals are 12‑month intervals. The registration calculator shows the full 12‑month fee followed by the prorated amount for initial purchases.
