Rivian factory warranty is 5 years or 60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage plus 8 years or 175,000 miles for the EV battery pack and drivetrain. Rivian will have the longest factory warranty in the automotive industry during its launch phase.
Can I purchase a longer warranty?
Rivian extended warranty options aren't offered by the factory yet, and non-OEM extended warranties may be the only extension available until Rivian puts offers in place.
How do I get service?
At home!
If your R1 breaks down, Rivian will send a technician to your home for repairs. Mobile Service is one of the most attractive aspects of the new brand.
Rivian is building a network of traveling R1 technicians so you never have to set foot into a car dealership.
If the repair must occur at a service center, Rivian will pick the R1 up from your home, take it to the service center for repairs, and return it to you.
These added benefits are free during the launch phase, but may transfer into paid upgrades as the brand develops.
How do I schedule repairs?
It's easy.
Submit your concern on the Rivian Mobile App.
Receive a repair plan to review and approve.
Schedule and track your service through the app.
How often is maintenance?
Rarely needed.
Rivian's quad-motor has less moving parts than traditional gas engines and rarely needs maintenance.
No spark plugs, no oil changes, fewer components, and far less wearable mechanics lead to more time on the road between services.
Brakes are one of the few wearables needed, and Rivian's regenerative braking extends the lifespan of the brake pads to further reduce the need for service.
