Subaru Worldwide Vehicle Sales, Revenue, Profit

Subaru worldwide sales reached 734,000 vehicles last year, a sharp decline of 15% compared to the previous year.

Subaru had ten years of steady growth, including four years with over a million vehicles sold, before supply constraints slowed production over the last two years.

Subaru global revenue reached $22.5 billion USD last year, and achieved an 18% worldwide profit margin for $4.1 billion USD total global vehicle profit.

Like many automakers headquartered in Japan, Subaru counts revenue on a fiscal year dated from April through March. For improved readability we disclose the year ending March 31st 2022 as year 2021 data.

We converted Japanese Yen to US Dollars for this report based on the exchange rate at the end of each fiscal year.

The profit displayed is gross profit after the cost of materials is subtracted, but before administrative fees.
